Support Group

The Riley Hospital for Children Liver Support Group meets quarterly in Riley Hospital. Parents and their children with biliary atresia, liver transplants, metabolic liver disease, hepatitis B and C, Alagille's syndrome, and other liver diseases attend. An educational topic is discussed for 20 to 30 minutes and then everyone socializes. Refreshments are provided. Discussion topics have included understanding blood tests, diet and liver disease, impact of chronic disease on siblings, liver transplantation, etc.
