The pediatric urology fellowship is an ACGME accredited fellowship. We accept one fellow every other year into this program. Fellows must have completed an accredited urology residency in the United States. Each fellow spends two years with us. The first year is spent in pediatric urology research under the direction of Doctors Jung, Meldrum, and Kaefer in basic science research and under the direction of all the faculty members for clinical projects. During the fellowship, the fellow is expected to pursue multiple basic science and clinical research projects. Basic science research is focused on the molecular events that occur in response to neonatal urinary obstruction. During the second year, the fellow rotates on the clinical service. Our large clinical volume is exceptional and provides the fellow with ample training experience. We hold separate pediatric urology radiology conferences, clinical conferences, and research conferences. Our anticipation of our fellows is that they will continue on to secure academic appointments in pediatric urology and leadership positions in the specialty. Interested applicants should contact Dr. Rink's office at (317) 274-7472 no later than 18 months prior to the anticipated starting date. Click here to be redirected to this web site. |
