The Next Door Neighbors Puppet Program was created by Barbara Aiello for educators who were interested in helping children cope with street and family violence. The puppet program uses child-size puppets to teach children to adopt and practice behaviors that stop the cycle of violence that often characterizes conflict. There are currently three Alternatives to Violence scripts being used for this program.

A partnership between the Indiana Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) and Riley Hospital for Children's Community Education & Child Advocacy Department has made this program available to many schools and community organizations statewide. There are currently five sets of puppets and scripts located throughout the state of Indiana. FCCLA students at Indiana high schools have been trained to present the Next Door Neighbors Puppet Program and would like to come see you! For more information about the Next Door Neighbors Puppet Program, please call the Community Education & Child Advocacy Department at Riley Hospital for Children at 317-274-2964.
