Automotive Safety for Children Program (ASFC):

Automotive Safety for Children Program (ASFC): riding safely. The program is ASFC is a program of the Indiana University School of Medicine. Started in 1981 to help assure that all children are riding safely, the program is nationally known for its work with transportation of children with special health care needs. ASFC develops child passenger safety materials for a variety of audiences statewide.

Some of the programs of the Automotive Safety for Children Program are:low cost car seat distribution program child safety seat fitting station Project SEAT (Safety Enforcement and Teaching) - a program with local and state law enforcement officers to distribute vouchers for safety seats during routine traffic stops Buckle-Up Bug preschool programs curriculum guides for grade school teachers and students teen safety pilot project advocacy and educational materials to local and state advocates and officials.
