VISITOR RESTRICTIONS IN RESPONSE TO H1N110/13/09 INDIANAPOLIS - Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 13, Riley Hospital for Children will restrict patient visitors due to increasing cases of 2009 H1N1 flu in the community. This means only two essential adult visitors per patient are allowed. This temporary restriction is needed to protect the health of our patients and staff and is part of a county-wide hospital visitor restriction policy established by the Marion County Health Department. In addition to the visitor restriction for hospitalized patients, we also are asking families to limit the number of relatives and friends accompanying patients to the Emergency Department, outpatient surgery waiting rooms and procedure areas, and primary care and specialist offices. The Riley Hospital Emergency Department entrance is restricted to use by emergency department patients and those accompanying them ONLY. All staff and essential visitors must use the hospital's main entrance. This temporary policy supports Riley's commitment to the safety of our patients, their families and staff. We will continue to make available the most current information regarding visitor restrictions on this page. For more information about a patient in the hospital, call Riley Hospital at 317-274-2060.
