Siblings of Special Needs Children Need Attention, Too

02/12/2010

INDIANAPOLIS – Sometimes it can be confusing, or even difficult, having a child with special needs. What do you do if kids at school laugh at your child with special needs? Do your other children at home feel left out because your special needs child requires more attention?

In an effort to help parents, caretakers and health care professionals understand the importance of supportive relationships in families of children with special needs, Riley Hospital for Children is offering a Sibshop™ Awareness and Facilitator Training Session.

Sibshops™ is an internationally acclaimed program dedicated to the life-long concerns of brothers, sisters, family members and caretakers of people with special health, developmental or mental health concerns.
