INDIANAPOLIS – Members of the media are invited to participate in a question and answer session to discuss the 2009 H1N1 virus, the flu season outlook and Riley Hospital for Children’s seasonal flu and H1N1 preparations.
John C. Christenson, MD, will facilitate this discussion. Dr. Christenson is director of the Ryan White Center for Pediatric Infectious Disease and medical director of the Pediatric Travel Medicine Clinic, Riley Hospital for Children, and professor of Clinical Pediatrics, Indiana University School of Medicine.
Dr. Christenson is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico School Of Medicine and completed his fellowship training in pediatric infectious diseases at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He is board certified in pediatric infectious diseases by the American Board of Pediatrics. In addition to being a recognized expert in his field, Dr. Christenson is also a national expert in pediatric travel medicine. Among his clinical interests are tropical diseases, infection control and emerging infections.
