Clarian Health lifts temporary visitor restriction

INDIANAPOLIS – On Friday, May 1, Clarian Health took the precautionary measure of restricting patient visitors in its downtown Indianapolis hospitals to only essential adult visitors because of the rapidly evolving situation regarding the H1N1 (swine flu) virus. Throughout this time, Clarian Health has continued to closely monitor the virus’ progress, and now believes visitor restrictions are no longer warranted.
Effective today, Friday, May 8, Clarian Health will lift the temporary visitor restriction and return to its normal visitation policy. Clarian Health remains in close contact with the Indiana State Department of Health and the Marion County Health Department, and has notified both agencies of this decision.
Clarian Health deeply appreciates the support and understanding shown by patients, families and staff while the temporary visitor restriction policy was in place. Clarian Health remains, as always, committed to high-quality, safe patient care.
