Riley Hospital for Children is Home to over 100 Physicians Selected for Best Doctors in America Database

12/17/2007

Database includes many specialties and sub-specialties.

INDIANAPOLIS - Hundreds of physicians at Riley Hospital for Children are among those chosen by their peers to be included in this year’s Best Doctors in America database.

The database - which contains the profiles of approximately 40,000 of the best doctors in the United States - includes 120 pediatric specialty and sub specialty physicians from Riley Hospital for Children and Indiana University School of Medicine.

"This is an extraordinary honor for Riley," says Ora Pescovitz, MD, president and chief operating officer, Riley Hospital for Children. "This recognition acknowledges the excellence in patient care that all of the physicians and staff at Riley perform each and every day. As Indiana's only comprehensive children's hospital, Riley continues to set the standard in pediatric care in Indiana and beyond. We are very pleased with the esteemed recognition of our physicians."

Inclusion in the Best Doctors in America database is determined through comprehensive surveys designed to identify specialists who are considered by their peers to be the most skilled in their field and most qualified to review and treat complicated medical conditions.

The Riley and IU School of Medicine affiliated doctors selected for this year's database represent more than 20 medical specialties and sub specialties, including:
