This program in central Mexico provides basic health care and health education in a partnership between IUSM and the Universidad Autonoma de Hidalgo.

Cambodia

ORBIS International Flying Eye Hospital

  • Dr. Daniel Neely is welcomed to Phnom Penh by Cambodian doctor Phara Khauv who worked with him there.
  • The ORBIS International flying eye hospital, a DC-10 converted to a teaching eye hospital, where surgeries are performed.
  • Dr. Neely with two Cambodian children who received strabismus surgery.

Dominican Republic

Dr. Mark Corkins serves on the board of Hope International which directs missions work in the Dominican Republic and sponsors an annual medical mission.

Guatemala

Dr. Kerstin Sobus spent time with a medical mission trip to rural Guatemala and to an orthopedic hospital to donate braces and to a children's home and to do some rehabilitation teaching.

Dr. Anne Farrell and Dr. Mark Turrentine were able to operate on 9 children with congenital heart disease (5 Iraqi, 1 Palestine, and 3 Jordanian).

Since 1989, the Indiana University School of Medicine and Moi University School of Medicine in Kenya have worked in partnership to develop leaders in health care for both the US and Africa.
